Legendary 60-year-old Cantonese wonton noodle house at 321 Jalan Burma in Pulau Tikus — one of Penang's most celebrated breakfast noodle destinations. The signature dry wonton mee arrives with springy, lye-water noodles tossed in a dark soy sauce and pork lard, topped with slices of handmade char siu (barbecued pork), braised Chinese mushrooms, choy sum, and either deep-fried or boiled wontons filled with minced pork and prawn. The lor (dark soy sauce-braised pork) version is equally beloved. Also serves wonton noodle soup. A Pulau Tikus institution for die-hard noodle breakfast enthusiasts. Non-halal. Reviews mention wan tan mee, fried wantan, sambal and dark sauce.
