Taiwan Kochabi is one of Penang's longest-standing Taiwanese restaurants, specialising in lu rou fan (slow-braised pork rice — 滷肉飯), three-cup chicken (三杯雞), crispy tofu, BBQ pork rice, and Taiwanese set meals. The name 古早味 (kochabi / gu zao wei) translates literally as 'old-fashioned taste' — the restaurant's philosophy of preserving the flavours of traditional Taiwanese home cooking rather than following trends.
