Chooi Lim Koo is a classic old-school Penang kopitiam hidden away on a sloped alley next to Kek Lok Si Hospital on Jalan Balik Pulau. The kitchen is praised for its bold, crustacean-flavoured Penang Hokkien Mee — a rich prawn-and-pork bone broth noodle soup that locals consider among the better versions in the Air Itam area — alongside Char Koay Teow wok-fried with wok hei.
